Members Meeting 28th October 2006 London

At the meeting it was agreed:
  • To produce some badges and stickers out of our funds (Action John McF)
  • To see if Inside Time would run an article about us so that Prisoners could get in touch/join (Action Pauline)
  • To continue to produce "Members Newsletters" in the format of the last one (Action John M)
  • To see if WIP's new Magazine would run an article about us (Genea to action)
  • To produce a series of leaflets setting out NMP's position on issues like "the dangerous few"; what are the alternatives etc. (David to action) (Members to be asked for ideas of areas to be covered.
We discussed future meetings and agreed that where ever possible we would combine future members meetings with existing events. Meeting directly after the Friends and Family demo made us all feel energised.

However it was also agreed we should look at having two larger meetings/conferences each year. We agreed to look at holding a conference in late January in Birmingham. David agreed to contact David Wilson and Joe Sim and John agreed to contact Azrini. Discussed following this up with a film show.

The groups finances are OK - Genea is keeping detailed accounts.
